**My Mother, my first love, my forever love

Alice Margaret Sheridan Dillon Kreiter, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 11, 2010. She was 82.

A family statement reads: "Alice Kreiter was the matriarch of our family. She cherished her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren above all else. She was the glue that held our family together. She was brave and bold, always willing to "go along" and try new things. She was known for her love of gardening and her beautiful flower gardens. She was an avid bird watcher and loved to wear pins of all kinds, but dragonflies were by far her favorite. She loved her cats, Tiger Lily & Abby who will miss her dearly. Alice had a way of making each of us feel as if we were her favorite. Her heart will always remain on Dillon Rd. Alice found her Dillon castle waiting for her in the Emerald Isle, and it was for all of the ones that went before her that she took the long way home."

Alice was born August 16, 1927 to Thomas and Margaret (nee Sheridan) Dillon in Monticello, NY. She married Gerard Kreiter on September 17, 1949. They built a home on her family land and raised a family.
