Married (2) Mrs. Elizabeth Lantz Sanders, January 8, 1824, Batesville, Independence County, Arkansas.
Married (3) Mrs. Cynthia Hardin Shipp.
Major, 7th Regiment, AR territorial Militia in 1825.
Major Jacob Wolf came to the area where the present day town of Norfork, AR is located. He brought with him his grandfather and his father and mother along with all of his siblings and their spouses with the exception of Margaret who remained in KY.
The major had married in 1809 in KY to Mildred Meredith and to this union five children were born before her death in 1823. These children were: Lucinda, William M., George Washington, James M. and Amanda H. Of these five children the burial site has been established for all but George Washington. His death date was recorded in Asa Wolf's family bible as 1871 but no site was noted. It is known that he did die in Texas. His widow Malinda McFelch Wolf is buried in IOOF Cemetery in Milam Co., TX and that may very well be where he is buried as his daughter, Sarah Jane Wolf Wallis and several members of her family are know to be buried there. Also, George's two half brothers are in that IOOF Cemetery.
The major then married Elizabeth Lantz Sanders a widow from Batesville, AR. She brought no children to the union but they had a family of eight children. Burial sites for Martin Jefferson is perhaps in one of the many marked but unreadable sites in the Old Wolf Cemetery as probably is his first wife Catherine Hargrave Wolf. Jesse H. Wolf is in the Olfl Wolf Family Cemetery and his wife is in the John Pierce Wolf Family Cemetery at McPhearson. Andrew Jackson Wolf and his wife are buried at Walnut Grove, AR. Tabitha and her husband, Judge John Samuel Russell; Nancy Judson Wolf; and Mary Cummmin Wolf Casey and her husband, Dr. John Madison Casey, are in the Mountina Home Arkansas Cemetery. Dr. Joseph Marion Wolf and John H.B. Wolf are both buried in IOOF Cemetery in Milam Co. TX. The son Jacob who died as an infant is probably buried in the family cemetery since his mother is buried there. Malinda is at Mountain View, AR along with her daughter, Laura. Malinda's husband, Tandy Casey has a footstone there at Mountain view but is buried in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville, Independence Co., AR.
The major married for a third time to Cynthia Hardin Shipp a widow with several children. She and the Major had one son Charles I Wolf who died at age 3 and is probably buried in the family cemetery, also.
