OGDEN –June Eloise Wheeler Stanger, 92, passed away May 25, 2008 at Crestwood Care Center.
She was born December 8, 1915 a daughter of Earl Rostan and Fern Eloise Wilson Wheeler.
June attended Mound Fort and Ogden High Schools.
She married Clifford Eugene Stanger on June 26, 1935 in the Salt Lake Temple. He passed away June 15, 2000.
June was a member of the LDS church where she served in several callings, as a chorister in Primary and Mutual, Relief Society Presidency, and Family History Extraction Program.
She loved music, golfing, needlework, traveling, and they loved to square dance. She enjoyed working along side of her husband in building several beautiful homes and cabins.
Mom will always be remembered for her sweet smile and wonderful sense of humor. She was friendly and outgoing and loved to be with her family and friends. Her warmth and compassion will be greatly missed.
Surviving are her children, Jean S (Kent) Sutherland of Ogden; Sheri S (Larry) Wintle of Riverdale; Sandra S (Marcel) Schwager of Layton; Douglas M (Marilyn) Stanger of Marriott. 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Earl R. Wheeler of Farmington.
June was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Phyllis East.
The family would like to thank Crestwood Care Center and Applegate Hospice for the loving care they gave June.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 30, 2008 at Myers Mortuary in Ogden; 845 Washington Blvd.
Interment will be in the Ogden City Cemetery
