Garaphelia Ochampaugh of Glen, wife of the late Alfred Houghton, died very suddenly Friday afternoon, September 22, in Schenectady where she had gone for a brief visit. Her remains were brought to the home of her brother, Albert Ochampaugh, of Glen. The funeral services to be held Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock, the Rev. Fred S. Simmons, pastor of the Reformed church, officiating. Mrs. Houghton was a woman of strong character though mild and unassuming in her disposition. All who knew her respected nnd loved her. She waa a devoted member of the Reformed church and faithful in her attendance of all services.
She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. K.J. Van Patten, Mrs. Fred Newman, and Mrs. John Parslow; two brothers, Albert L. Ochampaugh and William H. Ochampaugh; a daughter-in-law Mrs. William Houton of Schenectady; and several nieces and nephews.
The relatives from out of town attending the service were: Mr. and Mrs. Fred Newman, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Newman. Mr. and Mrs. John Parslow, William Parslow. Mr. and Mrs. William Ochampaugh, Jay Ochampaugh. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ochampaugh, Mr. and Mrs. Van Whiteman, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ochampaugh and son Roland, Mr. and Mrs. Amos Ochampaugh.
