Rev. Davis married his second Sarah Perkins on October 14, 1798 in Lincoln County, GA. She became the stepmother to his eight children with his fist wife, and she borne him eight more children. Her will is dated October 1, 1835 and probated April 13, 1836 in Autauga County, AL. She signed it was an X. Rev. Lewis Davis and Sarah's father (Alvah Perkins) were business partners having a trading post near the Alabama River in this frontier territory.
