Services for Thomas Raymond Morrissey, of Wesson, are 10 a.m. Monday, March 8, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel on Natchez Drive with burial in Mission Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Wesson. The Rev. Tommy Purvis will officiate.
Visitation is Sunday from 4 until 8 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until the time of the service. Both visitation services will be held at the funeral home.
Mr. Morrissey, 93, died March 4, 2010, at King's Daughters Medical Center. He was born in St. Joe, Mo., on July 14, 1916, to Thomas Raymond Morrissey and Mabel Agnes Godsey Morrissey.
He was a retired systems analyst having worked for IBM for many years. He was a member of the Lions Club, Area Fifty-Plus Club, the Investment Club and the Institute For Learning In Retirement at Copiah-Lincoln Community College. He was also a member of Mission Hill Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Maggie Mae Ward Morrissey; and his infant sister, Elizabeth Morrissey.
Survivors are his daughter, Julia Arnold and husband, Robert Moses Arnold, of Bronx, N.Y.; his cousins, Mary Jo Byrne, Patrick Byrne, John Byrne and Tommy Byrne; and his special friends, Sally Smith and Mike Allen.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mission Hill Baptist Church, 2409 Mission Hill Road NE, Wesson, MS 39191.
