Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10, at Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Haskell England officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. He was born Nov. 7, 1914, in Celeste to Benjamin F. and Georgia Rhetta Allen. He married Isabell Barnett March 21, 1937. She died Jan. 3, 1994. He was a retired dock foreman for Red Ball Motor Freight. Surviving are sons, Norman B. and Donald W. Allen, both of Dallas and Jerry R. Allen of Houston; brother, Cecil E. Allen and wife Margaret of Lamar Point; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.'
