Funeral services were held March 14 at the Clagg Funeral Chapel for Minnie Parks, 89, who died March 12 in Sulphur. Larry Pogue officiated. Interment was in Iona Cemetery with arrangements by Clagg Funeral Home.
Born Oct. 29, 1891, in Arkansas she moved to the area from the Oak Grove community in 1960. She married John W. Parks in 1909. He preceded her in death May 20, 1960.
Survivors include three daughters, Euva Parks, Sulphur, Eva Norton, Bowman, Calif., and Ethel Lippman, Reno, Nevada; two sons, Lonzo Parks, and Delmar Parks, both of Sulphur; one brother, Otto Stiener, Oklahoma City; one sister, Elma Hayes, West Plains, Missouri; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
