Daughter of David Hill Watt and Alice Margret (Hutsonpillar)
Married Lawrence Nordquist, with whom she operated the L Bar T Ranch in Wyoming east of Yellowstone Park. One of their regular visitors was the writer Ernest Hemingway.
After divorcing Lawrence, she owned and operated during the summer months the Nordquist Cabins and Motor Lodge in Cooke City, Montana, just north of Yellowstone National Park.
She was a Christian Scientist and spent her later winters in Boston, Massachusetts, to be near the Mother Church.
Survived by daughter Donna Nordquist Calvert and two grandchildren, Lucinda Marie "Cindi" Calvert and William Durr Calvert, Jr.
Other survivors include her nephew, James Gaius Watt, U.S. Secretary of the Interior under President Ronald Reagan from 1981 to 1983.
