John B. Ottinger, 83, of Poplar Springs Road, Greeneville, died Saturday morning at Takoma Adventist Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Ottinger was born Feb. 22, 1919, in Parrottsville and was a son of the late Charlie and Bessie Bowers Ottinger.
Wife of 55 years: Dorothy Kiker Ottinger; a son and daughter-in-law: Johnny C. and Dorothy L. Ottinger, two grandsons and a granddaughter-in-law: John Ottinger and Jake and Jennifer Ottinger, two brothers and sisters-in-law: Willis and Mary Dee Ottinger and Trent and Mary Ottinger, two sisters and a brother-in-law: Charlsie O. Hawk and Joan and Charles Birdwell. He was preceded in death by a brother: Glenn Ottinger; and two sisters: Luster LaFollette and Blanche Ottinger.
