John was raised in Faucett, MO. He accepted the Lord into his life. After joining the Navy during World War II, and then returning home, he married Mary Edna Miller on Sep 20, 1946.

Preceded in death by one son John Helton Jr.,

survived by two daughters, Janice and Paula, 5 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

Also survived by his twin brother Joseph Helton of Pheonix, Arizona.

John drove for Clearfield Cheese most of his life, before retiring he drove a school bus for Clinton for 10 years.
