LEESBURG — Chris Merrell, 54, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010.

Mr. Merrell was a singer and musician.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy D.; daughters Casey Rhea and Mia Kai Merrell; stepdaughter, Kelsey Buxton; father, Robert E. Sr., Fruitland Park; stepmother, Gail Merrell, Fruitland Park; brothers Robert E. Jr., Weirsdale, Michael I., Fruitland Park; and sister, Kelly L. Merrell, Cape Cod, Mass.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 28, at Windy Acres, 01350 Miller Blvd., Fruitland Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Chris Merrell Lifeline Fund, Citizens First Bank, 1341 Griffin Road, Leesburg, FL 34748-3550.

Jock Christian Merrell, 54 of Leesburg, FL died on
Tuesday, March 2, 2010. Chris, a singer and musician,
devoted his life to entertaining the world in his unique
style. As the son of an Air Force Colonel, he spent his
youth traveling the world. The most influential period was
when he lived in England in the Mid-1960's listening to
bands such as The Beatles. Although he lived all over the
country and the world, he considered Central Florida to be
his home.
Chris is survived by, his wife, Tammy D. Merrell,
Leesburg, FL; 2 daughters, Casey Rhea and Mia Kai
Merrell; step daughter, Kelsey Buxton; father, Rev.
Robert E. Merrell, Sr. and step mother, Gail Merrell,
Fruitland Park, FL; 2 brothers: Robert E. Merrell, Jr.
(Sandy); Weirsdale, FL and Michael I. Merrell (Rhonda),
Fruitland Park, FL; sister, Kelly L. Merrell (Ernest), Cape
Cod, MA; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Chris is predeceased by his mother, Peggy Irwin Merrell.
A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Chris at 2:00
PM on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Windy Acres, 01350
Miller Blvd., Fruitland Park, FL. No Funeral Services will
be held.
