Donald A. Rossnagle, 75, of Falmouth Street died Saturday at a Portland hospital after a long illness. He was born in Lewiston, a son of the Rev. John and Belle Cook Rossnagle, and attended schools in Lynnfield, Mass., Rockland, and Clarkston Technical College in Pottsdam, N.Y.
Mr. Rossnagle was in the Army during World War II and served in Germany.
Mr. Rossnagle owned two service stations at Woodfords Corner and then was a real estate broker for 30 years.
He was a member of Woodfords Congregational Church, the VFW, and the Odd Fellows and was a past member of the AMVETS.
Mr. Rossnagle played hockey in college, liked to ski, sponsored bowling teams and enjoyed playing golf.
Surviving are his wife, Lorraine Rossnagle; two daughters, Linda R. Guite of Boothbay and Dona R. Desjardins of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; a brother, John M. of Newhall, Calif.; a sister, Elaine R. Candade of Cape Elizabeth; and six grandchildren. (Portland Press Herald 11/20/1997)
