50th Anniversary Celebration

Dickerson, Md.— Former County Commissioner and Mrs. Laurence A. White were the honor guests at a dinner Tuesday evening given at their home, "Rose Cottage," by their daughters.

The bride and groom sat at the head of the beautifully appointed table, which was graced by a lovely bride's cake bearing the dates 1883-1933.

The romance began in their early school days, when Mr. White carried bouquets of roses to his sweetheart, Miss Annie Oliver Belt, and culminated in their married April 18, 1883, at "Rock Hall," the bride's home near Dickerson.

Mr. White was for many years a progressive farmer at "The Lindens," his farm near Dickerson, retiring in 1920, when they moved to Dickerson; it was at their farm home their seven children were reared, all of whom are living, though only three daughters, Mrs. Arthur Williams, Miss Evelyn Wardlaw White, and Miss Anne Duvall White, could be present at the celebration. The others are: Mrs. Fred A. Jones, of Monroe, La.; Mr. Laurence F. White, of Saskatchewan, Canada; Mr. Oliver Belt White, of Santa Monica, Calif., and Mr. Pinkney White, of Cincinnati, Ohio.
