Deceased Name: John H. Wigmore

Washington, D. C., April 28. -- Funeral services for John H. Wigmore, dean emeritus of Northwestern university, were held today in the Arlington National cemetery. Dean Wigmore died in Chicago April 20 of injuries suffered in an automobile accident. He was a colonel in the judge advocate general's office during World War I. Among Chicagoans attending the services were Dean Wigmore's widow, Rep. Charles S. Dewey [R., Ill.], and James O'Callaghan.

And for 28 years, he served as the Dean of Northwestern Law School. John was a legal scholar, having written many legal treatises; the most famous being Wigmore On Evidence.
