Henry J. W. Feltham enrolled Sept 18, 1862 in Company I of the 81st Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, was wounded (gunshot) at the Battle of Fredericksburg Dec 13, 1862, and died of lockjaw December 29, 1862 at Hammond G.H., Point Lookout Maryland, and initially buried at the nearby Point Lookout Confederate Cemetery. Later reinterred at Arlington National Cemetery.
Henry’s wife was Phoebe W.O. Feltham, married Dec 26 1858, resided in Barrett Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania. They had two children: Walter H. Feltham (b. Dec 5, 1859) and Mary P. Feltham (b. Jan 7, 1862)

Henry J.W. Feltham was the first son of Eleanor Palmer and her first husband Henry Feltham. He was born in 1840 in England, the year before their immigration to the USA.
