Mrs. Carrie Hubbard Bash, of 1915 West Colorado, the widow of the Rev. Floyd Allan Bash, widely known minister of Christian Churches, died Saturday in a Dallas Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Bash moved to Dallas 18 months ago after retiring as a hostess at Texas Christian University, to make her home with a daughter, Mrs. Hugh M. Riley, whose husband is pastor of Oak Cliff Christian Church. A native of Hampton, Iowa, Mrs. Bash was graduated from Cotner College in Bethany, Neb., and in 1909 married the Rev. Mr. Bash. They served pastorates in Wyoming, Kansas, Colorado, Iowa, Wichita Falls and San Antonio. Mr. Bash, who died in 1953, participated in building the million dollar Central Christian Church in San Antonio and served as president of the Texas Convention of Christian Churches and in other denominational positions.
Survivors in addition to her daughter are three sons, Dr. Lawrence W. Bash of Kansas City, Mo., Dr. Wendell H. Bash of Hamilton, N. Y., and Floyd A. Bash Jr. of Wichita, Kan; a daughter, Mrs. U. J. Miller ofAlbuquerque, N.M., and 14 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Oak Cliff Christian Church, 300 East Tenth. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park.
