Meigs, Ga., - In the country near this place on Tuesday, December, 8th, 1903, Mrs. Narcissa Smith, wife of Lee W. Smith, passed over the river of death, into the unknown realms beyond.
She was born February 3rd, 1849, joined the Baptist Church in 1865 and lived up to her faith until the time of her death. Her husband preceded her to the grave several years ago.
She leaves five children to mourn her death, viz, Mrs. Alligood, Messrs, Byron, Ewell, Lester and Scolie.
Leroy "Lee" Harris Smith, husband of Narcissa F. Bannister Smith, preceded her in death before 1900. 1900 Census states Narcissa is widowed and mother of 7 children, with 5 living.
