Joseph C. Pellenwessel
MEDARYVILLE — Joseph C. Pellenwessel, 90, Rt. 2, Wheatfield,
died at 2:40 a.m. today in the Rensselaer Health Care Center.
He was born Sept. 5, 1898, in Damme, West Germany. His father
was John Pellenwessel. He was married June 1, 1935, in Chicago to Agnes McKlenburg, who survives.
He came to the United States in 1928 and lived in Chicago 10 years prior to moving to Wheatfield.
He was a retired farmer.
He had worked as a foreman for Jasper Pulaski Nursery.
He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church.
Surviving are a son, Bernard, Minot, N.D.; two sisters, Josephine and Elizabeth Pellenwessel, both of West Germany; and a grandchild.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Henry Catholic Church, with the Rev. William Donahoe officiating. Burial will be in St. Henry Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday in Querry-Ulbricht Funeral Home, Medaryville, where there will be a scriptural wake service at 6 p.m.
