Berman Brown Delp, 85, of Greasy Ridge Road, Princeton, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004 at Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton. Born March 4, 1919 in Lashmeet, he was the son of the late Freeland Brown Delp and Hattie Huffman Delp. Mr. Delp was retired from Concord College in Athens. He was a farmer and raised cattle. He enjoyed carpenter work and was of the Protestant faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilford Delp and Dillard Delp; and one sister, Janice Six. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Betty June Carter Delp of the home; and three brothers, Gaylon Delp of Dublin, Va., Harold Delp of Florida and Olen Delp of Maryland; and one sister, Alma Clark of Beckley. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 22, 2004 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. William Wyrick officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may call from noon until service hour on Monday, Nov. 22, 2004 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton. The family may be reached at 21 Rolling Hills Estates in Princeton.
