Susan Frazier Ramsey, 82, of Newport, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 5, 2002 at Baptist Hospital of Cocke County.
She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. She was also a seamstress and former employee of Valentine Shults Hospital and Baptist Hospital of Cocke County.
Her husband, Sherman Ramsey; son, John A. Ramsey; parents, Sam and Sally Frazier; granddaughter, Kim Ealy; brothers, Ben, Cephas, Burl, Paul, and Dock Frazier; sisters, Dorothy Williamson, Viola Williamson, and Sylvania Evans, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughters: Allie Ealy and her husband, Orville, of Newport; Hattie Reed and her husband, Kenneth, of Parrottsville; and Sherline Burnett and her husband, Bobby, of Newport; sons: Claude Ramsey and his wife, Christine, of Newport; and Charles Ramsey, of Newport; brother, John Frazier, of Morristown.
Ten grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Ramsey will also be missed by a host of friends.
The funeral service will be Thursday, March 7, 2002 at 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Ball officiating.
Graveside service will be Friday, March 8, 2002 at 2 p.m. at Union Cemetery.
