Daughter of Jane Lewis & Logan Vaughn / CLOVA MARIE VAUGHN KIDD WILLIAMS, age 84, passed away Sunday, April 4, 1999 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.
She was born in the Coopersville Community of Wayne County, Kentucky on July 27, 1914, the daughter of John Logan and Lizzie Jane Lewis Vaughn. Both parents preceded her in death.
She married Hubert Kidd, who preceded her in death. She later married Alfred L. Williams, who survives.
She is also survived by 2 sons Paul Williams of Monticello, Kentucky and George Williams of Indianapolis, Indiana; 5 step children Roxanne Branham, Reid Williams, Carl Williams, Jim Williams and Bill Crabtree; 3 sisters Nina Coffey, Nannie Roberts and Lova Vaughn; 2 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceding her in death are 3 children Oletta Williams, Willard and Hazel Kidd; several step children; and 3 sisters Dovie Vaughn, Lois Smith and Bernice Bell.
She had accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was a member of the Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 7, 1999 in the funeral home chapel with Brother Ray Soard officiating. Burial was in the Carl Kidd Cemetery.
