Nora Gabriella Freeze was born in Thurmont, Frederick County, Maryland, May 25, 1873, the daughter of Jacob and Martha Dallas Thomas Freeze. On March 18, 1896, she married Clarence Wilson Colliflower in Thurmont, the son of John Tilghman and Mary Isabelle Hesser Colliflower. They were the parents of one daughter, Viola D. Colliflower Ditch.

"Mrs. Nora Freeze Colliflower, widow of Clarence Wilson Colliflower, formerly of Graceham and later of Hagerstown, died Friday at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Ditch, Columbia Road, Ellicott City. Besides her daughter, she is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mary Zimmerman, Baltimore, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the home in Ellicott City with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery."
