Mr. Newton Smith, age 89, of Del Rio, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2004, at his home.

He was preceded in death by his infant sons, Clayton and Jobie Smith.

Wife of 74 years, Lena Self Smith, daughters, Thelma Moore, and Edna Moore, grandsons and granddaughters-in-law: Warren and Penny Moore, Carroll and Susie Moore, Dale and Lisa Moore, grandsons: Dillon Moore, and Lloyd Moore, granddaughters and grandsons-in-law: Janie and Bert Mullen, and Linda and Tommy Lambert,granddaughters, Marlene Smith, and Diane Canard, great-grandchildren: Kevin Moore, Aaron Moore, Ashley Moore, Kelly Owens, Hannah Mullen, Emma Mullen, Andy Moore, Opal Correll, Mike Moore, Jason Moore, Tracy Harmon, Tommy Lambert, Timmy Lambert, Amy Holly, Brian Canard, and Brandi Harris; and 12 great-children.

Sister, Pearl Norwood, and several nieces and nephews, including special nephews, Jack Raines and Don Norwood; many friends, and caregivers, Carroll and Susie Moore, and special caregiver, Brenda Smith.
