Attended Ouchitau Baptist Unniversity in Chemistry, served in the Marines in the Korean War. He went to University of Arkansas Medical School followed by becoming a nuclear Medicine specialist, and internal medical doctor. He met and married his wife, Jeanne R Bonar MD. They had 3 children: Leslie, David and John. He opened the first ICU and CCU in Mississippi. He ran the nuclear protection program for Jackson. He loved photography, building, and reading mystery novels in his spare time.
