John Cuttle, who fell between two freight cars in the Wabash yards at Springfield Thursday, died of his injuries at St. John's hospital in that city yesterday afternoon. He was 29 years of age and leaves a father, mother, brothers, sisters a divorced wife and a 5 year old son, all living in Decatur.
The father of the injured man went to Springfield Thursday afternoon and was with him when he died. The body was brought to Decatur at 7:05 last night and taken to the residence of his parents.
The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon from St. Patrick's Catholic church. The hour will be announced later.

The remains were brought to Decatur last night and were taken to the home of his father, Michael Cuttle, on . The funeral will occur Sunday, services being at St. Patrick's Catholic church.

The funeral of John Cuttle, killed last week at Springfield by falling off a Wabash train, took place Sunday from the Catholic church. The Springfield Journal of Saturday gave this statement.
His parents, Mr. and Mrs. M.J. Cuttle, came over from Decatur and were at the son’s bedside at the time of his death. He came here from Decatur about three months ago and was employed by Vance & Dooling in laying cement pavement. He was out of a job and was on his way home to Decatur. He said before his death that the brakeman on the train stepped on his fingers while he climbing off the train and subsequently kicked him under the chin. He is the son of respectable parents in Decatur and leaves besides his widow and one child two brothers, Joseph and Thomas, and two sisters, Mollie and Ida, all of Decatur.
