Anna was born in Russia and died in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, CA.
She is the daughter of Ivan Ivanich Shubin (1859-1946) and Nastia Stupin (abt 1865-1914). Her parents are buried in the Russian Molokan Cemetery in Los Angeles, CA.
Anna married John George Chickenoff (1881-1947) about 1901 in Russia. They immigrated about 1911.
The 1920 U.S. Federal census shows the family living in San Diego County, San Luis Ray. He was a farmer.
By 1930 the family lived in Fresno County, CA, Township 11; he was a fruit and grain farmer.
John and Anna had eleven known children: Anna, Nellie, Stella, George (1916-1920), Hazel, John, George, Susie, Alec (before 1924-before 1924), Alec, and Hazel.

CHICKENOFF, Anna – In Santa Rosa, Nov. 1, 1967, Anna Chickenoff, wife of the late John G. Chickenoff, mother of Anna Shubin, Stella Susoeff, Susie Adam, Hazel Melnikoff, John, George and Alex Chickenoff; survived by 14 grandchildren. Donations to Heart fund preferred.
