Funeral services for Dessie Lee Tillman, 77, of Winnsboro, were held at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, with Rev. Joe Sinn officiating. Interment followed at Providence Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.

Mrs. Tillman was born Aug. 1, 1932 in Winnsboro, and passed away Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010 at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro. She was a resident of Winnsboro, a homemaker, and a member of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Tillman; father, Worldon Franks, mother, Dollie Mae (Coleman) Franks; two brothers: Worldon Franks Jr. and Leon Franks; sister, Pearly Lilly.

Survivors include her five sons: Donald Ray Tillman of Winnsboro and Versie Leon Tillman, both of Winnsboro; Luther Pete Tillman Jr. of Livingston, La.; James "Jimbo" Tillman and wife Katie of Pinebluff, Ark.; Bobby Tillman and wife Janice of Winnsboro; three daughters: Martha Sue Naylor and husband Al of Geismar, La.; Shirley Faye Miller of Fort Necessity; Virginia Tillman of Wisner; sister, Mary Lilly of Winnsboro; grandson, Clayton Tillman of Winnsboro; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers were Robert Lilly, Robert Campbell, Joe Campbell, Sidney Lilly, Lee Tillman, and Arnold Massey.

Honorary Pallbearers were Clayton Tillman and Luther Ferrington.
