On Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010, Julia Del Fatti left our world to be reunited with her loving husband, Mathew. She was 92.
She was born on May 26, 1917, in Sherwood, Ore., to Burt and Violet Warner.
She married Mathew Del Fatti on Sept. 12, 1934, in McMinnville, Ore., and they made their first home on the Del Fatti family ranch. After leaving the homestead, they made their home on Bisbee Street.
Julia was a homemaker all of her life. She loved flowers and working with her hands. She had beautiful flowerbeds and enjoyed crocheting. She also loved going to the Oregon Coast.
First and foremost, though, Julia loved her family. Not just her immediate family, but her whole family. She made sure she never missed sending birthday cards to all the nieces and nephews.
In 2007, a surprise 90th birthday party was held in her honor. People from as far as New York, Texas and Canada came to wish her well. In all, more than 150 people attended. This in itself is a great testament to the kind of lady Julia was.
Julia is survived by her son, Mathew Del Fatti of Klamath Falls; her daughter and son-in-law, Roxanne and Ken Moody of Keno; her daughter-in-law, Marilyn Del Fatti of Baker City; her grandchildren, Brian and Kelly Del Fatti of Lake Oswego, Markay and Eric Arntz of Baker City, and Lisa and Julie Moody of Keno; her great-grandchildren, Allie, Kyle and Kirby; and also her brother, Roy Warner of Hannibal, N.Y.
Her husband, Mathew, son, Gerald, and brothers and sister, Walt, Fred, Ethel and Albert all preceded her in death.
