Rose E. Etzler, of Hanover, entered into God's eternal care February 24, 2010, in New Oxford.

Born August 14, 1927, in Irishtown, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Edna (Miller) Hartlaub.

Rose was retired from Snyders of Hanover after 14 years of service.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hanover, and was a volunteer at St. Joseph Thrift Shop.

She was the wife of Raymond J. Etzler, who died September 6, 1990, and is survived by four sons, Raymond J. Etzler Jr., Larry E. Etzler and wife, Joan, and Donald F. Etzler, all of Hanover, and Edward B. Etzler and wife, Teresa of Abbottstown; seven grandchildren, Michael Etzler, Amy Morningstar, Sheri Becker, Jennifer Etzler, Leslie Etzler, Logan Etzler, and Robert Etzler; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Emma Storm of Irishtown and Martha Louey of Hanover; and a brother, Kenneth Hartlaub of McSherrystown; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Wayne Etzler; three sisters, Catherine Eck, Minnie Staub, and Mary Long; and by two brothers, Ralph and Bernard Hartlaub.

Interment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Edgegrove.
