Funeral service for Billie June Johnson, 73, of Alex, will be at 1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at the Southern Baptist Church of Alex.
Johnson was born April 24, 1936 in Paducah, Texas, the daughter of John and Bessie Cross. She died February 2, 2010 in Oklahoma City.
She and Joey Johnson, Jr. were married December 12, 1955 in Wichita Falls, TX. Mr. Johnson worked for Halliburton overseas from 1963-1975 and the couple moved to Alex in 1975. She was a proud and devoted wife, mother of four and she absolutely adored her grandchildren. She was always a joy to be around and had a laugh no one could ever forget. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Southern Baptist Church of Alex.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joey Johnson, Jr. on May 8, 1988. Billie is survived by four children, daughter Connie Zanola and husband Frank Dickinson, OKC, OK; daughter Nelda Graham and husband Rod, Wilson, OK; son Joey Johnson III and wife Kim, Alex, OK; and son John Johnson, OKC, OK; twin sister Betty Hadley, Witt, IL; one brother, Roy Aldy, Fort Worth, TX. Billie had 10 grandchildren, Natasha Garrison and husband Billy, Lindsey Ball and husband Daniel, Rodney Graham and wife Kasie, Zack Zanola and wife Debbie, Derrick Johnson, Chelsea Zanola, Shalyn Johnson, Caleb Zanola, Taylor Johnson and Janie Johnson. Billie had 5 great grandchildren Dakota, Isaac, Riley and Abigail Garrison and Lillyan Ball.
Billie was always full of life and will be missed by all.
