John Collins Comfort was the son of Richard and Charity (Young) Comfort. He was born Deerpark, New York. Phebe (Gildersleeve) Comfort was his 1st wife. They were married about 1798 and she died December 27, 1830. Lydia Ann Bridgman Comfort was his 2nd wife.
