Miss Ella Thorson was born in Fillmore County, Nebraska, the 4th of February, 1885. In the year of 1901 she was confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of the Stockholm Lutheran church. In January 1923 she transferred her membership from the Stockholm Lutheran church to the Gethsemane Lutheran church of Ong, Neb.

Her death came sudden on January 17, 1924. About noon of the 16th she became suddenly sick, and soon subsided into unconsciousness in which state she remained until the Death Angel called her.

Paul A Westerberg who is in charge of the congregation was at the bedside of the deceased at the time of her death and can witness that her death was calm, as only the death of a true Christian is. For the past ten years she has been making her home with her sister, Mrs Albin Nelson of Clay County, Nebr. The funeral services took place January 20 at the home of Mr and Mrs Albin Nelson and in the Gethsemane church. Mr Westerberg preached one sermon in the English language taking as his text: John 11:25, "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.": The church was packed to the last seat and the service was very impressive. The interment took place in the Swedish cemetery east of the Stockholm church.

She leaves to mourn her death her sister, Mrs Albin Nelson and her brother Mr Alfred Thorson. Also her step-mother and her step-brother and sister. Mr Hilmer Thorson and Mrs Luther Erickson and Mrs Kate Thorson, all of Ong, Nebr.

Her father and mother preceded her in death. She also leaves three nephews and three nieces, several other relatives and friends.

Peace unto her memory.
