Robert Holben, 78, of Kittanning RD7 died Monday, Nov. 19, 2001 at his residence. He was born Aug. 23, 1923 in Ringgold to Paul Eugene and Grace (Davis) Holben.

Mr. Holben was a milkman and an avid NASCAR dealer.

An Air Force veteran, he served during World War II.

He was a member of the Center Hill Church of the Brethren and the Men's Fellowship of the church.

His memberships included the Worthington American Legion.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Anna Jean (McFarland) Holben, whom he married Dec. 2, 1944; three sons, Edward E. Holben of Verona, Va., Robert J.
Holben of Newburgh, Ind. and David H. Holben of Athens, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Anthony (Pamela) Malachin of Butler; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.


HOLBEN - Friends of Robert Holben, 78, of Kittanning RD7, who died Nov. 19, 2001, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, Inc., 200 S. McKean St.,
Kittanning, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Wes Berkebile officiating. Interment wil be in Center Hill Church cemetery, Kittanning RD7. Arrangements by Snyder-Crissman.
