Luke Myers, born February 5, 1930, of Maryville went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Colonial Hills after a two year courageous battle with Lymphoma. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired after 29 years of service from ALCOA. He was a devoted loving family man who was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Iva Emaline (Sparks) Myers; two brothers, Elmer Myers and wife Clara (Tipton) Myers and Albert Myers; sisters, Mary Matlock and Husband Bailey Matlock, Clemmie Gregory and husband Hase Gregory, Nola Cummings and husband Eulice Cummings; sister-in-law, Barbara (Law) Myers; brother-in-law, Carmon Jones.

He is survived by a loving and devoted wife, Sue Chatfield Myers of 56 years; two sons, Steve Myers and wife Kathy (Dockery) Myers, Bruce Myers and wife Sheila (Jones) Myers; two daughters, Anita Barker and husband Allen Barker, Rebecca Morris and husband Mike Morris. He has nine grandchildren, Matthew Myers and wife Lucretia, Ashlie Ivens and husband David, Katherine and Melanie Barker, Lauren, Summer, Anna, Mikah, and Luke Morris. He also has two great-grandchildren, Landon and Lillie Myers. He is survived by several siblings, identical twin brother, Mark Myers and special friend Ruth (Barb) Garner, Bob Myers and wife Sylvia (Sullivan) Myers, Dixie Walker and husband Max Walker, Velma Jones; sister-in-law, Louise (Barb) Myers. Many nephews and nieces were also special to him. He was also an avid basketball fan and enjoyed watching family play many ball games throughout the years. He also loved going to Cades Cove with his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 7:00 P.M. Tuesday February 23, 2010 in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Johnson and Rev. Tony Brown officiating. The interment will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Grandview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home.
