CLARION - Arthur Daniel Slaugenhoup, 54, of Corsica RD1, employed as a pipefitter for the Owens-Illinois Glass Co. in Clarion, died Sunday in Franklin Hospital.
He was born November 5, 1919, in Sligo, a son of Harry Edward and Lorraine Gladys Saylor Slaugenhoup.
Mr. Slaugenhoup was a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Clarion.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edna Wilda Slaugenhoup. They were married May 12, 1937. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Janice) Lutz of Shippenville; a son, Douglas Arthur Slaugenhoup of Strattanville; two sisters, Mrs. William Page of Utica and Mrs. Duane Haines of Strattanville; a brother, Roy Edward Slaugenhoup of Rimersburg, and three grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today at the Gerald L. Goble Funeral Home at Clarion, where funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday.
Rev. Robert Myers, pastor of the Reynoldsville Gospel Center, will officiate. Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery.
The family requests persons wishing to make a memorial to donate to the American Cancer Society.
