Death of C.B. Dunnam
Charles B. Dunnam died in Auburn last Sunday, May 30th, following a lingering illness. He was a native of Michigan Bluff, Placer County, California, and was aged 77 years.
Charlie Dunnam had been a well known painter in this vicinity for many years. He leaves a host of friends to mourn his loss.
Surviving the deceased are his wife, Hettie Dunnam of Auburn; three daughters, Mrs. Mabel Dunn, also of Auburn, Mrs. M.C. Wheaton of Monterey and Mrs. C.A. Cunningham of Colfax; and five granchildren; Kenneth Dunn of Sacramento, Elaine Snell of San Jose, Jeanne Smith of Auburn, Carol Cunningham of Colfax and Donald Wheaton of Monterey.
Mr. Dunnam was one of the oldest members of the Auburn Fire Department.
He was himself a pioneer and he was the son of a pioneer. His father had twice been Sheriff of Placer County.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Lukens, Vettestad, Bryan Funeral Home, with Rev. C. Aaron King officiating. Interment was in the Auburn District Cemetery.
