Mary (Bednar) Heflin, 84, of Balcony Towers, Kittanning died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002 at the Armstrong County Health Center, Kittanning. She was born Feb. 2, 1917 in Pittsburgh to Charles and Mary Bednar. Mrs. Heflin worked for the family tailoring business on Fifth Avenue, Ford City. She was a member of St. Mary Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church, Kittanning. She lived in Ford City for most of her life. Survivors include one son, Richard Bednar of Ford City; one daughter, Lorraine Heflin of Kittanning; one nephew, Allen Bednar of Ford City; and one niece, Sharon Constanzo of Manorville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Allison Heflin, who died in 1996; and two brothers. HEFLIN - Friends of Mary (Bednar) Heflin, 84, of Balcony Towers, Kittanning, who died Jan. 16, 2002, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, Inc., 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with her pastor, the Rev. Emil Payer,officiating. Interment will be in Ford City Cemetery. Arrangements by Snyder-Crissman.
