Miss Amanda Beeland Died Yesterday
Funeral Services Will be Held from Home of Sister in Phenix City Today.
Miss Amanda Beeland, 68 years old, died yesterday morning at the home of her sister, Mrs. J. B. Lynn, at 424 Broad street, Phenix City, with whom she made her home following an illness of only a few days. Miss Beeland had been in declining health for a period of about nine years, and on last Sunday she suffred a stroke of paralysis, since which time she gradually grew weaker until death.
Miss Beeland is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Lynn, Mrs. M. C. Moore of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Mrs. Susan Carden of Columbus. She was a devout member of the Trinity Methodist church, Pehnix City, among the congregation of which church as well as among scores of friends, she will be greatly missed.
The funeral services will be conducted from the residence this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by Rev. J. Roberts, following which interment will be in Linwood cemetery.
