OBITUARY, Sioux City Journal, 21 May 2000: Dolores J. Coles, 83, of Sioux City died unexpectedly Friday, May 19, 2000, at a Sioux City hospital. There will be no services or visitation. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Coles was born Dec. 23, 1916, in Sioux City, the daughter of Walter and Gladys (Coon) Denton. She was a 1934 graduate of Central High School. She married William A. "Art" Coles on Dec. 23, 1951, in Reno, Nev. He died March 16, 1999, in Sioux City. They lived in Klamath Falls, Ore., for 40 years and returned to Sioux City in August 1998. Survivors include a daughter, Julie and her husband, Richard Hennenhoefer of Bellville, Ill.; a sister, Maxine Hagen of Sioux City; one niece; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
