Mrs.Martha Freeland, an old resident of Macon county, died at 4 am Saturday at her home 1025 N. Morgan street, aged 69 years. Paralysis was the cause of death. Mrs. Freeland suffered a stroke of paralysis seven years ago and has since been an invalid. Her husband died eight years ago. She has resided in this county since 1858.
She is survived by two sons, and five daughters. They are C.W. and J. J. Freeland of Macon county, Mrs. Mary E. Sanner of Shelby county, Mrs. Jane Ekiss of Macon county, Mrs. Rebecca Bottrell of Dalton city and Mrs. Emma Scott of Moultrie county, Mrs. Josie Keller of Des Moines, Ia.
Mrs. Freeland was a member of the New Hope C. P. church and the funeral will be held from that place at 3 pm Sunday. The church is located in Milam township and the burial will be at the New Hope cemetery in Moultrie county, three miles east of the church.
