Arnold Joseph Armstrong
MERKEL -- Arnold Joseph Armstrong, 91, of Vaiden, Miss., who owned and operated Trent Garage and Welding Shop for more than 40 years, died Sunday in Winona, Miss.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Rose Hill Cemetery with David Armstrong officiating, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home.
Mr. Armstrong was born in Hood County and was a retired mechanic. He was a Baptist and a member of Merkel Masonic Lodge 710. He was the widower of Mary Lillian Rains.
Survivors include three sons, C. Ancel Armstrong of Manhattan, Kan., Joe Armstrong of Vaiden and Leroy Armstrong of Colorado City, Colo.; one daughter, Dora Venetta Sanders of Bonham; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
