DR. R. H. HARMON DEAD
Passing of Highly Esteemed Citizen
of Lauderdale County.
The Meridian Dispatch of Sunday
contained death notice of a prominent
citizen of Lauderdale county as follows:
Dr. R. H. Harmon, one of the
oldest and best-known practicing
physicians in Lauderdale county, died
at his home at Marion yesterday afternoon
about 1 o'clock, after several
weeks'illness. Deceased was 66 years
old. He was born in Alabama, but
had been a resident of Lauderdale
county for about twenty years. He is
survived by nine children—Mrs. May
Bishop and Mist Marion Harmon of
Marion, Mrs. Rosa Langford of Lafayette,
Dr. R. W. Harmon of Heidelberg,
W. J. Harmon of Birmingham,
P. B. Harmon of Columbus, C. M.
Harmon of Nesr Orleans, J, H.
Harmon of New Orleans, Mrs. Blanche
Taylor of Laurel; brothers, Dr. S. B.
Harmon and T. C. Harmon; sitter*,
Mrs. E. R. Wallace of York, Ala.,
Mrs. S. E. Erwin of Brockton, Ala.,
and Mrs. H.M. Moore of Lawrence
all of whom were present when death
came but Mrs. Wallace.
