Jackie Alexander, 64 of the Little Savannah community, died Fri, Dec 13, 2002, at her residence after an extended illness.
A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, she was a former employee of Sylco Corp. and owned her own clothing store until she retired in 1985. She was a member of Cullowhee United Methodist Church. She was a daughter of the late Fred Allen Mull and Ethel Mae Pannell Mull and was also preceded in death by three siblings, Elizabeth Mull Monteith, Emil "Dick" Mull and Jim Mull, who died the same day as Jackie.
Surviving are her husband of 25 years, Doyle Alexander; son, William "Bill" Scott Mull of Tuckasegee; two brothers, Fred Mull of Fletcher and Joe Mull of Sylva; three sisters, Dorothy Pope of Matthews and Betty Cole and Judy Parris of Sylva; and a special friend, Vicky Weeks of Asheville.
The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Melton-Riddle Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Frank Padgett officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
