Raymond Ross Belcher, age 87, of Alcoa, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010 at his home. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he was a Sunday School Teacher for over 30 years and a past Deacon. He served in the U.S. Navy, during World War II. He retired after 41 ½ years of service from ALCOA, and was a member of the 25 year club. Preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Della Belcher; brothers, Horace, Carl, Claude, T.H., and Alex; and sisters, Nellie, Carrie, Inez, Lily, Reba, Viola, and Marjorie. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Gladys Cureton Belcher; son, Michael "Mike" Belcher and daughter in law, Joanna; son, Daniel Belcher; grandchildren, Jimmy Belcher, Jaime Belcher Donald and husband, Ryan, Nick Belcher, Shane Belcher and wife, Katie; great grandchildren, Trey, Jared, and Bryce Belcher, and Jackson and Elizabeth Donald; sister, Dorothy Gresham; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. James Dial and Rev. Danny Davis officiating. Graveside service and interment 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, 100 S.
