Goshen (Elkhart County)
Anna was the daughter of Cyrus D. and Mary E. Catey Long, born in Oswego on August 11, 1885. She had two sisters and three brothers: Grace, Bertha, Allen, Charles, and Ernest. Anna out-lived her entire family, but she wasn't alone in life because she had married James Everett Bishop on August 23, 1903.
Mrs. Bishop lived her whole life with the Leesburg community, worshiping at the Leesburg United Methodist church. God blessed the Bishops with one son, Robert, and three daughters & sons-in-law, Earl & Marjorie Stuckey, John & Dorothy Longfellow, and Dale & Sarah Mock. They were also blessed with six grandsons: Robert & Larry Bishop, James Mock, Johnny & Edward Longfellow, and James Broadbent.
40th Wedding Anniversary
Mr. & Mrs. Dale Mock and daughter, Dolores Ann of Milford entertained at dinner Sunday at their home, honoring Mrs. Mock's parents, Mr. & Mrs. J.E. Bishop of Leesburg, who celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. The dining table was centered with a huge white wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and bridegroom and lighted by 40 candles. The children presented the couple with a gift.
