LeRoy Glen Haight, 84 and a resident of Biloxi, died Thursday, January 5, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Haight was born and raised in Michigan and had been a resident of Biloxi for the past 4 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, serving in World War II, receiving five Bronze Stars. He was a member of VFW Post 3030 in Otsego, Michigan and he retired from Hammonds Machinery. Mr. Haight will be remembered by his family and friends for his love for fishing, card playing and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Carrie Haight; brother, Floyd; and sisters, Gerry and Beverly. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Traviss Haight of Biloxi; daughter, Debora Paddock and husband, Al of Biloxi; sons, Jerry Haight and wife, Penny of Plainwell, Michigan, Ronney Haight and wife, Michelle of Plainwell, and Dennis Haight and wife, Helen of Virginia Beach, Virginia; sisters, Shirley Potter and husband, Nyle of Grand Rapids, MI, Muriel Hall and husband, Harold of Wayland, MI, Barbara LaPerna of Burton Heights, MI and Sharon of Grand Rapids; brothers, Glenn Haight and wife, Jan of Shelbyville, MI, Norman Haight of Kentwood, MI, and Wayne Haight of Grand Rapids; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. at the National Cemetery in Biloxi, arranged by Riemann Memorial Funeral Home in Biloxi.
