David Harold Barnhill, 43, of Wilmington, died Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at his residence.
David was born December 24, 1966 in Wilmington, NC son of Marie Moore Barnhill and the late Harold Dean Barnhill.
Mr. Barnhill, known as "Porch Dog" to his family and friends, graduated from E. A. Laney High School and attended Cape Fear Community College. He lived for his daughters. Porch Dog loved truck driving, NASCAR, and his family, and always made them laugh.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his two daughters, Samantha and Courtney Barnhill, both of Wilmington; brother, Jeff Barnhill and wife, Jane; niece, Candace Barnhill, all of Des Moines, IA; grandmother, Thelma Moore; and special aunt, Sylvia Glunt and husband, Jerry, all of Wilmington.
The family will receive friends from 3pm to 5pm Sunday, February 14, 2010, at Andrews Market Street Chapel.
A funeral service will be 11am Monday, February 15, 2010, at Northside Baptist Church, with Rev. Rob Strickland and Rev. Mike Morley officiating. Interment will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens.
