"ALEX ANDERSON DIES"
"Alex Anderson, native of Mobile, and resident of Biloxi most of his life, died at 1:40 a.m. Sunday after an illness of three months. He was a boatman for many years and in the early days of Biloxi was active in politics. He formerly was a member of the Redmen,Biloxi Benevolent Association and other organizations. He was a charter member of the East End Fire Co. and led the company in the recent firemen's parade. Years ago he was employed by W. P. Kennedy and Laz Lopez in the seafood business. He leaves two step sons, Eugene Ryan, Biloxi, and Sylvane Ryan, Woolmarket; three step daughters, Mrs. Jos. Toche, Sr., Biloxi, Mrs. Eugene McCaleb, and Miss Tobiatha Ryan, Biloxi. The funeral probably will be tomorrow from the home, 504 Maple Street and at St Michael's Church by Father Hillebrand."
