John David Lamb, son and heir of his father The Rev. Joseph Lamb:
1749, Jul. 8. Joseph Lamb of Somerset Co., clergyman: will of. Wife, Sarah, "all that land that I had with her at marage situate in Glossenbery and Wethersfield in Conectecot Govermt in New England." Son, John David Lamb (not 21), to have all lands. Daughers - Lydia Clark, Elizabeth Wade, Patience Beidle, Sarah Badgly, Marcy and Jemime Lamb. Executors - wife, Sarah, and Moses Ayres. Information regarding Joseph Lamb (son of John David Lamb), Ruth Scudder, wife of Johh Lamb, and their family is included in a Scudder Bible record owned by Mrs. Dorothy J. Elser. It identifies Joseph Lamb as a son of John Lamb (no date of birth) and Mary Lamb b 21 Feb. 1833; and it states that John Lamb was a son of Mr. Lamb, minister at Basking Ridge. Rev. Joseph Lamb was minister in the church at Basking Ridge, NJ. This establishes Joseph Lamb 1756-1828 as a son of John David Lamb 1729-1784 and Mary Thompson 1732/33-1791; and grandson of Rev. Joseph Lamb 1690-1749 and Patience Horton ca1694-1729.

Patience Lamb died 14 Apr. 1729, and is buried in Mattituck Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Mattituck, Long Island, New York. John David Lamb, was born ca 1729, and would have been born on or before 14 Apr. 1729, in Mattituck.
